The Tigers are leaving Dhaka in the afternoon with the aim of winning the Asia Cup

After three days, the curtain will rise on the Asia Cup. The 15th edition of the tournament is being held in the United Arab Emirates. On August 27, the match of Sri Lanka-Afghanistan will be played in the field of the highest status of Asian cricket.

The Bangladesh team will play their first match in Sharjah on August 30. For that purpose, the Tigers will leave Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.

Shakib Bahini will leave for Dubai on a 5:30 pm flight on Tuesday. Bangladesh Biman’s Dhaka-Dubai flight will fly from the capital Dhaka via Chittagong to Dubai with Tigers.

Six teams are participating in this year’s Asia Cup. Out of which Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India and Afghanistan will come directly and one team will come from the qualifiers. The field fight will be held in two groups of three teams. Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are the two opponents of Bangladesh in the group stage. After facing Afghanistan on August 30, the Tigers’ second and final group match will be against Sri Lanka on September 1.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh is going to play the Asia Cup without a coach. The Tigers are going without a coach as head coach Russell Domingo has been removed from T20 duties. India’s Sreedharan Sreeram has been made technical advisor instead. Bangladesh will play this year’s Asia Cup according to his plan.
