Putin blamed Ukraine for killing his friend’s daughter

Russian President Vladimir Putin has blamed Ukraine for the murder of Daria Dugina, the daughter of his close friend Alexander Dugin.

In a statement on Monday, he called Dugina’s murder a “heinous” and “brutal” crime.

Putin also praised Dugina as very “intelligent” and “virtuous”. This is the first time Putin has reacted to the death of Dugina, the daughter of close friend Alexander Dugin.

Journalist Daria Dugina was killed in a car bomb explosion near the Russian capital Moscow last Saturday night.

His father, Alexander Dugin, known as ‘Putin’s mastermind’, is believed to have been the target of the car bombing.

Dugin, a staunch nationalist who has taken a strong stand in favor of sending Russian troops to Ukraine, is known at home and abroad as being very close to Putin.
