Biden backs Saudi Arabia in fight against Houthis

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have launched a missile attack on Saudi Arabia. US President Joe Biden has said the United States will stand by Saudi Arabia in its fight against the Houthis.

He called King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, the White House said Biden said the United States had a responsibility to protect Saudi people and property. They also support UN efforts to end the war in Yemen.
