Bangladesh in the quarter finals of the Under-19 World Cup

Defending champions Bangladesh lost their first match of the Under-19 World Cup after losing to England Youth. The last match of the group stage was a must win match for Bangladesh, who regained their confidence after losing to Canada by a large margin.

The match was a do-or-die affair for both Bangladesh and the UAE to become runners-up in Group A and get tickets to the quarter-finals. In the rain-interrupted match held in St. Kitts, Bangladesh Youth got a ticket to the quarter finals by defeating UAE by 9 wickets in Duckworth-Lewis method.
