Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members recovered 4 kg of ice (crystal meth) from a beach in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
The drugs were recovered from Jaliya Dwip area of the upazila on Wednesday (January 19) morning. However, no one was arrested at the time.
Confirming the matter, Captain Lt. Colonel Sheikh Khalid Mohammad Iftekhar said a group of people raided the island of Jaliya in the Myanmar border area north of Teknaf after receiving a report of drug smuggling in the morning.
During the search, 4 kg of crystal meth was found inside a packet. These drugs have been kept at the BGB headquarters. The next time will be destroyed on the instructions of the authorities.
