Pace bowling coach Otis Gibson is not renewing his contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board. According to the current agreement, he will be the pace bowler of Bangladesh cricket team till January 20.
Jalal Yunus, chairman of the BCB’s cricket operations committee, confirmed the news to popular cricket-based website CricketBuzz. Gibson will complete two years with BCB on January 20.
Meanwhile, the Caribbean coach has taken on a new responsibility before the expiration of his contract with Bangladesh. He will be coaching in the Pakistan Super League starting from January 26.
In an official message via social media on Wednesday, the Multan Sultans announced that Gibson would be their assistant and bowling coach in the upcoming PSL.
In 2020, Gibson replaced Charles Langvelt as Bangladesh’s pace bowling coach. He has previously served as head coach of South Africa and the West Indies. He was in England as a pace bowling coach.
