There is no opportunity to send Khaleda Zia abroad

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has said that the opinion given by the law ministry on the request to send former prime minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia abroad does not allow her to be sent abroad.

The Home Minister was responding to a question from reporters after a meeting of the National Narcotics Control Advisory Committee at the Secretariat yesterday.

Earlier on Monday, Law Minister Anisul Haque told reporters in her office that a legal opinion on Khaleda Zia’s brother’s application had been sent to the Home Ministry.

Asked about the opinion sent by the law ministry, the home minister said, “Khaleda Zia’s younger brother Shamim Eskander came. We have given a letter, we have informed whether it is legal or not for a valid reason. The law minister gave an opinion. We are studying that opinion. As far as we are studying now, we have to talk about it. ‘ Has the opinion of the Ministry of Law been sent to the Prime Minister? In this regard, the Minister said, “As the law minister has written, as he has stated, there is no legal scope. You must have understood our position. We will sit down now and take action next time through discussion.
