The Prime Minister has left Dhaka for Maldives

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Dhaka for a six-day state visit at the invitation of Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Salih.

The plane carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12 noon on Wednesday. When the plane lands in Male, the capital of Maldives, the country’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs will receive the Prime Minister at the airport.

The next day, December 23, at 10:30 am, the President of the Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Salih, will formally welcome the Prime Minister. There, the Prime Minister will be given a guard of honor. After receiving the Guard of Honor, the Prime Minister will proceed to the Presidential Palace. The Maldivian President will hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister at this venue. At the end of the meeting, four MoUs will be signed between the two countries.
