Anti-drug operation in the capital, 53 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Crime and Intelligence Division has arrested 53 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. He was arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.

As part of the regular anti-drug drive by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, they raided various police stations in the capital from 8 am on Monday to 8 am on Tuesday and recovered drugs. Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations (DC) of the DMP on Tuesday morning. Farooq Hossain gave this information.

During the seizure, 2637 pieces of yaba, 169.5 gm of 45 puria heroin, 2 kg 350 gm of 45 puria marijuana, 60 bottles of Fencidil, and 115 injectable drugs were recovered from their custody. A total of 42 cases have been registered against the detainees under the Narcotics Control Act.
