3 alleged Arsa members arrested with weapons in Ukhia

Members of the 14 Armed Police Battalion (APBN) have arrested three alleged Arsa members from Madhurchhara Rohingya camp in Ukhia Upazila of Cox’s Bazar. A weapon and two cartridges were recovered from them.  

They were arrested from the Madhur Chhara Rohingya camp area of ​​Rajapalang Union around 7 pm on Monday. The arrested Rohingyas are: Zubair Mohammad, son of Syed Noor of Rohingya Camp No. 4, Madhur Chhara of Rohingya Camp No. 4, Mohammad Ayaz, son of late Abu Sufian and Ayat Ullah, son of Amin Ullah of Camp 2.

Ukhia-based 14 Armed Police Battalion (APBN) Commander Superintendent of Police Naimul Haque said, “I was able to arrest the Rohingya terrorist by conducting an operation on the basis of secret information that 3 Arsa members were stationed in Madhur Chhara Rohingya camp area with weapons.” Weapons and ammunition were found in their possession. After preliminary inquiries, they have been handed over to the Ukhia police station to take further steps in the legal process.
