Early lunch taken as rain refuses to relent in Mirpur

Umpires called for an early lunch on Day 2, half an hour ahead of schedule, as the rain continued to disrupt the second Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Mirpur.

The covers were taken off quite a few times and umpires had announced a starting time as rain receded for a while but then had to be brought on again as the rain returned.

Only 57 overs of play were possible on the first day when Pakistan reached 161-2, with skipper Babar Azam unbeaten on 60 alongside Azhar Ali, 36 not out.
