A fire broke out in a building on the south side of the capital’s Gulshan 1 DCC Market. Some say an earlier blast had been heard inside the building.
Seven units of the fire service are working to control the fire.
The fire broke out around 4 pm on Monday (November 29), Lima Khanam, a duty officer at the fire service’s control room, told the media.
He said, “I got the news of a fire in a building next to DNCC market at Gulshan-1 around 4 o’clock.” Seven of our units are working on fire control. Initially, the cause of the fire and the extent of damage were not known.
