After being all out for 330 in the first innings, Bangladesh reduced Pakistan’s first innings to 26 runs. Taizul Islam single-handedly defeated Pakistan with 8 wickets. Opener Abid Ali scored 133 off 282 balls. Apart from another opener Abdullah Shafiq’s 52 runs, no other batsman could go to the house of forty. It is to be noted that in the first innings, Bangladesh’s Liton Das faced the danger of the team and picked up the first century (114) of his Test career.
