Case filed against Pakistan cricket team in Dhaka court

Muktijuddha Mancha has filed a complaint in the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court against 21 people, including Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam.

Lawyer Md. Mahbubul Haque has confirmed the matter.

He said a case was filed against them for practicing flying the Pakistani flag at the academy ground in Mirpur, Bangladesh. An order will be issued in this regard in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, 40 prominent citizens have strongly condemned the Pakistan cricket team flying its national flag during practice in Mirpur and fixing the venue of the India-Pakistan final in hockey at Maulana Bhasani Stadium on Victory Day.

They also questioned the government’s silence on such incidents. Besides, State Minister for Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nazmul Hasan Papon, and Hockey Board have also demanded resignation. At the same time, they are expecting an official message of apology and confession from the government of Pakistan.
