Vaccinated tourists in Nepal will get on-arrival visa without quarantine

The Government of Nepal says that fully vaccinated tourists, ie those who have received the second dose of the vaccine, will no longer have to stay in quarantine and will also receive on-arrival visas. However, fully vaccinated tourists must submit a ‘negative PCR’ or other test reports within a maximum of 72 hours of the flight.

Partially vaccinated and unvaccinated tourists will need to obtain a visa from the Nepalese embassy in their home country or elsewhere. They will have to spend 10 days in a government-approved hotel in Kathmandu and undergo a ‘PCR negative test’ before leaving.

In the case of Indians (without exception) tourists arriving by land have to bring their visas from the diplomatic mission in Nepal and have to be negative in the ‘antigen test’ at the Chinese or Indian border.
