On the second day, a strike is going on across the country demanding 15 points. Bangladesh Covered Van-Truck-Prime Mover Freight Owners Association and Bangladesh Truck Driver Workers Federation. Due to their strike, transportation of goods from Chittagong port is closed.
The strike started at 8 am on Tuesday (September 21). The strike will continue for 72 hours, officials said.
Wazi Ullah, general secretary of the Bangladesh Truck Driver Workers Federation, said on Wednesday, “We are on strike for the second day in a row demanding 15 points.” Transportation of goods across the country is closed during the strike. No vehicles carrying goods are entering Chittagong port. Vehicles are not leaving the port with goods. The 72-hour strike will continue until our demands are met.
