This time North Korea tested a pair of ballistic missiles. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed the information.
Earlier, JCS announced that an unidentified missile had been fired.
The Japanese Coast Guard also reported that an object had been fired and that it could be a ballistic missile.
The ballistic missile test runs counter to the UN proposal to limit North Korea’s nuclear activities. South Korea and Japan did not provide details.
Just days before the test, North Korea test-fired a long-range cruise missile, capable of hitting most parts of Japan. Experts say cruise missiles are capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
