BNP’s establishment of democracy is ridiculous: Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has addressed the BNP, asking how those who do not practice democracy within the party will establish democracy in the country. Far from the BNP’s national conference, they have not been able to hold any conference at the grassroots level in the last one decade. Those who do not have democracy in their party will establish democracy in the country, it is nothing but ridiculous.

Obaidul Quader said this at a regular briefing at his residence on Wednesday (September 15).

He said democracy is a developing process, not a matter of one day or one year; This is a long process. The democratic journey continues through the sincere cooperation and practice of the government and the opposition.

The bridge minister said Bangabandhu daughter Sheikh Hasina has continued her efforts by overcoming many obstacles in the way of the development of democracy. As a party, the Awami League is ahead of any other political party in the country in the practice of internal democracy.
