Two killed in autorickshaw collision in Ashuganj

Two passengers of a CNG-powered autorickshaw were killed when a train hit them at a railway crossing at Ashuganj in Brahmanbaria. The dead are two brothers. Their father was seriously injured at the time.

The accident took place in the Talshahar area of ​​the Upazila around 5:15 am on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Rubel, 33, and Pavel, 23, of Rajghar village in Natai North Union of Sadar Upazila. Their father Sadeq Mia was also seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Ashuganj police sub-inspector (SI) Dharmajit Singha said an autorickshaw was heading towards Ashuganj Sadar from the district town through Talshahar in the morning. A Dhaka-bound mail train leaving Chittagong hit the autorickshaw while crossing the Talshahar rail crossing. Two brothers in the autorickshaw were killed and their father was injured.

Seriously injured Sadeq Mia has been admitted to the hospital.
