India cancel Test for fear of not playing in IPL: Michael Vaughan

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has claimed that the Indian team canceled the Manchester Test just a couple of hours before the start of the match for the purpose of playing in the IPL. Vaughan wrote a column in the British media The Telegraph, arguing the matter.

Vaughan also took to Twitter to express his displeasure over the start of the IPL and the end of the fifth Test.

Vaughan writes: ‘IPL teams are renting planes to pick up players. You have to go to the UAE and stay in quarantine for six days. With seven days left till the start of the tournament, please tell me, has the Test been canceled for any reason other than IPL?

Vaughan also wrote in his column in The Telegraph: Honestly, it’s all because of the money and the IPL. Test canceled. Because the players were afraid of not being able to play in the IPL due to Kovid. ‘
