RAB-15 arrested two robbers with five illegal firearms in a raid on Rangikhali Jummapara hill in Hnila union of Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.The operation was carried out on Monday (September 6) at 5:30 am.

The detainees are Helal Uddin, 20, son of Kamal Hossain of Rangikhali Jummapara, Ward 7, Hnila Union, Teknaf Upazila, and Md. Kala Mia, a resident of the same area. Ismail (25). They are members of the Faridul Alam group, a notorious robber from Teknaf.
Abdullah Mohammad Sheikh Saadi, senior assistant director (media and operations) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-15) Cox’s Bazar, said members of the notorious Faridul Alam group were planning to commit various crimes at Jummapara in Rangikhali hill of Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar.

On the basis of such secret information, a cautious expedition team of RAB-15 reached Hnila Rangikhali Jummapara hill around 5:30 am on Monday, September 6. After realizing the presence of RAB-15, 7/8 armed robbers dispersed and 2 robbers were arrested while trying to escape to the hill.

The other robbers fled to the mountains.An illegal one SBBL, 4-shooter guns and five illegal firearms were recovered from the detainees.Abdullah Mohammad Sheikh Saadi, senior assistant director of RAB-15, said the Faridul Alam group was known as the notorious dacoit group in the Teknaf area of ​​Cox’s Bazar.

The robber group is involved in robbery, rape, kidnapping, arms and drug trafficking, ransom and other crimes in and around the Rohingya camp.The bandit Faridul Alam group was not only involved in the robbery, they were also supplying arms and ammunition to the Rohingya camp by maintaining contact with other bandit groups.
After kidnapping several people, ransom was demanded from the family of the abductee.He said legal action was being taken against the arrested robbers.
