Newly joined BSEC chairman lays wreath at Bangabandhu’s portrait at Dhanmondi

Mr Shahidul Islam Bhuiyan, newly appointed Chairman of Bangladesh Steel and Engineering
Corporation (BSEC) on Saturday laid a wreath at Dhanmondi No 32 in honor of the great hero of
independence, father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with his office
colleagues. Mr AKM Anwar Morshed, Secretary, BSEC and Mr Alauddin Mridha, Public
Relations Officer was present on the occasion.
In 1972, the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman created a state-run
industrial institute in accordance the Nationalization Ordinance. BSEC was created by
Bangabandhu indeed.
In 1956, Bangabandhu was a minister in the Coalition government in the Department of Crafts,
Commerce, Labor, Anti-Corruption and Rural Aid. In the Coalition Government, the Minister of
Arts, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has been dreaming of making long cherished stand
on a strong foothold in the economy of Bangladesh. He wanted to move forward in the path of
sustainable and creative development through decades of grassroots labor intensive development.
