Biometric attendance to introduce for mosquito eradication workers Dhaka North City Corporation DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam says that every Spray man Supervisor should work sincerely for the
responsibility of the concerned ward in mosquito control. DNCC mayor said this while addressing the inaugural function of the
training program of Spray man Supervisors at Nagar Bhaban in Gulshan on Tuesday morning.
Mayor Atiqul said that biometric attendance has already been introduced in the regional offices of DNCC for mosquito
eradication workers and from September 1, biometric attendance of mosquito eradication workers will be ensured in every ward.
Mr Atiqul Islam said that for the first time, training of 54 Spray man Supervisors has been arranged in DNCC on Tuesday. From September 2, the Spray man Supervisors will use their trained knowledge to train hand-to-hand mosquito extermination workers
in each region.
DNCC mayor said strict legal action would be taken against anyone found cheating or making clear allegations against anyone, and would be fired if necessary.
He said mosquitoes need to be controlled by involving people from all walks of life, including local councilors, in the ongoing social movement for well-being.
Mr Atiqul Islam said everyone should work more sincerely for the welfare of the city dwellers with education from the past.
At the end of his very important speech as the Chief Guest, DNCC Mayor announced the auspicious inauguration of the Spray man Supervisors Training Program.
Responding to a question from reporters, he said a fine of around Tk 65 lakh has been levied through mobile courts for finding Aedes larvae in different areas of the DNCC since July 27. Among others, Chief Health Officer of DNCC Brigadier General

councilors and officials were present.
