10 lakh Pfizer vaccines to arrive in Dhaka on Aug 30

Ten lakh doses of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine doses, gifted by the US, will arrive in Dhaka on August 30.
Maidul Islam Pradhan, senior information officer of the ministry, said this in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.

He said the consignment is scheduled to reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:15 pm on August 30 by Qatar Airways flight.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen and US Ambassador to Bangladesh Earl Miller will be present at the airport to receive the vaccine consignment, he added.

Meanwhile, after the cabinet meeting on Monday afternoon, the health minister said in an unofficial media briefing that another 60 lakh doses of Pfizer vaccine would be available from the US in September.
