One more died while at least 276 more dengue patients were hospitalized in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)
Among the 276 new cases of dengue infection, 33 are from outside Dhaka, according to the DGHS.

With the new cases, a total of 5,659 out of 8,317 infections this year were diagnosed in August. Of the total infected, 511 are from outside Dhaka.
At least 2,286 patients were hospitalised in July, 272 in June, and 43 were infected in May, according to the DGHS.
The data also shows 37 people have died of dengue infection in the country this year. Twelve people died in July while 25 died in August so far.
Though most of the patients who were hospitalised have so far been released, 1,146 are still undergoing treatment at hospitals in Dhaka, and 87 outside the capital, the DGHS data shows.
