3 shops burnt to ashes in Mirsarai fire

Three shops have been burnt to ashes in a devastating fire at Aburhat Bazar in Mirsarai upazila. The victims are claiming that there was a loss of around Tk 12 lakh including cash.
The fire broke out at night on Tuesday (August 18). The affected traders are Kala Saudagar, owner of Variety Store, Md. Arif and tailor shop owner Golam Hossain.

Pharmacy owner. Arif said, closing the shop at night and going home. I got the news of the fire at around 1:40 pm and rushed to the spot. Within moments the flames of the fire spread throughout the store. One by one 3 shops fell to ashes. All necessary documents including cash, medicine, clothes, flour, rice, flour have been burnt.

Imam Hossain Patwari, an officer at the Mirsarai station of the fire service and civil defense, said they rushed to the scene after receiving news of the fire. After trying for 1 hour, it was possible to bring the fire under control. He said it would not have been possible to protect other shops if they had not arrived on time.
