Govt committed to ensure COVID-19 vaccination for all

Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder today said that the government is committed to ensure COVID-19 vaccination for all in the country in phases.

“There is no reason to be frustrated with the COVID-19 vaccination.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working all the time to serve the
people of the country. She will arrange vaccines for everyone,” he
said.

He said this while addressing a meeting of ‘Hospital Management
Committee’ at Upazila Health Complex in Niamatpur today.

At the beginning of the programme, one minute silence was observed
seeking eternal peace of the souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all other martyrs of August 15, 1975
carnage.

Sadhan added that the premier provided incentives for the victims
during the corona period. It was important to wear a mask and follow
hygiene rules even after getting the vaccine, he added.

He said that at the beginning of the vaccination, a vested quarter
had spread propaganda about it. He also urged all not to be misled by
any propaganda regarding the vaccine.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Joya Maria Perera, Upazila Vice Chairman Md
Ayub Hossain Mandal, female vice chairman Nadira Begum, Upazila Health
and Family Welfare Officer Tofazzal Hossain also spoke on the
occasion, among others.
