Chattogram City Mohila Awami League (AL) president Hasina Mohiuddin today said that Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib was the source of all encouragement, strength and courage for Bangabandhu in the establishment of independent Bangladesh.
“Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib is an integral part of the independence of Bangladesh,” Hasina Mohiuddin said while addressing a discussion meeting on the occasion of the 91st birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib held at the residence of late Alhaj ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury at Chashma Hill.
“She always encouraged him (Bangabandhu) to do politics for the people of this country…. She never pulled him back… she never looked out for her own interests… she never thought what she would get in life,” Hasina Mohiuddin said.
CCC councilor Nilu Nag Tunu conducted the function while vice-presidents of City Mohila AL, Mamtaz Khan and Maleka Chowdhury, Mohila AL leaders Hasina Akhter, Hure Ara Beauty, Laila Akhter Attlee, Sharmin Faruk, Ayesha Alam, Fatema Akhter, Anjumana Ara Begum, Ayesha Akhter Panna, Ishrat Jahan, Monowara Bahadur, Ayesha Siddique, Jennifer, Parveen Sultana, Shirin Kanta Islam Minu, Afroza Khanam, Afrin Jahan, Nasima Begum, Shaheen Ferdous and Shabnam Ferdous, among others, addressed the function.
